1. AS A REGISTRANT CAN PEOPLE SEE MY REAL NAME? At the time of registration, you will have specified a username separate from your first and last name. Your username is what appears on RateAMaid. Only when you provide it to be prospective individuals will they know your true identity.

2. AS AN INDIVIDUAL PROVIDING A RATING ON A MAID/HOUSEKEEPER OR CLEANING AGENCY CAN THEY SEE MY FIRST AND LAST NAME? No - when you sign up at RateAMaid to provide an overall satisfaction rating on a maid/housekeeper or cleaning agency, a username will be generated for you. This is all the public including the individual you are providing the rating on will see. We require at least two ratings before an average is computed and displayed on RateAMaid.

3. I AM PART OF A LARGE CLEANING AGENCY, CAN WE REGISTER ONCE AND LIST ALL THE CITIES THAT WE SERVICE? No - the listing is generated by individual geographical locations (town/city) if you have more than one operation in several areas of the province or state, each individual geograhical area will be required to register. Any registration submissions, listing multiple cities will be edited to retain the first city listed and all subsequent cities listed will be deleted.

4. WHEN INDIVDUALS CONTACT ME FOR A REFERENCE CHECK CAN THEY SEE MY CONTACT INFORMATION? No, individuals contacting you through RateAMaid will use our contact form which will send an email to the email address that you provided. Individuals may request to speak with you over the telephone as they may have several questions but the decision to provide your phone number is up to you to decide.

5. IS RATEAMAID FREE? Shortly after our launch we decided to abandon the annual fee in favor of onsite advertising. We feel this will help attract more people to the site to give it a try and hopefully spread the word.

6. WHAT ARE SURROUDING AREAS? The surrounding areas are there to help cleaning personnel specifcally target geographical areas that they service. This may be a major intersection or a real estate development with the boundaries of a city or town. At the moment we do not have search facilities for surrouding areas but hope to be able to offer them in the future however we would encourage people to use them as individuals searching for cleaning personnel are going to be interested in those that service their particular area.
